Microsoft Italy announces Ambition Italy Cloud Region Partner Alliance, a project that focuses on the ecosystem of partners. The goal is to accelerate the digital transformation in the country by developing the Italian Data Center region. Also taking advantage of the 191.5 billion euros of funds that the PNRR makes available for cloud and digital solutions.

The new project is joined by key partners, already on board the new Microsoft Italy adventure. Accenture, Avanade, Cluster Reply, Engineering, Kyndryl, TeamSystem e Var Group to name a few. Companies with the resources and the capillarity in the Italian territory to provide local cloud services. That reduce latency and provide fast and secure access to data.
This project is part of Ambizione Italia, which Microsoft announced in 2020. Putting $ 1.5 billion investment to launch the Microsoft’s first Cloud Region in Italy in Milan. Now, the venture continues with the partners.
Partners work with Microsoft to offer reliable and certified solutions (over 90 certifications in the Microsoft Cloud). But also by developing one common strategyand, with market initiatives to reach companies of all sizes in our country.
Partner at the center
This decision confirms the choice to put partners at the center of the strategy. Over the past three years, the Microsoft partner network has had a 30% increase. Today there are over 14 thousand partners, with 400 thousand professionals that work continuously. And the partners share sustainable growth goals with Microsoft by signing the Partner Pledge: they are 52 Italian partners who signed it.
Silvia Candiani, CEO of Microsoft Italy he explains: “Partners have always been at the center of our strategy and with this project we confirm their key role in the digital acceleration of the country. The impact of the Cloud Region in Italy is estimated with 10,000 job opportunities and approximately $ 9 billion of direct and indirect induced activities by the end of 2024, also leveraging the technological ecosystem. But the potential is even more significant if we consider that the PNRR provides € 191.5 billion of funds, more than half of which potentially linked to Cloud solutions. “
For this reason with Ambition Italy Cloud Region Partner Alliance Microsoft wants to “guide public and private companies in their digital transformation path, simplifying access to local and secure cloud services and accelerating innovation scenarios to support the competitiveness of the country’s key sectors”.
