An update is coming to celebrate Microsoft Flight Simulator’s 40th anniversary. The update will add a aircraft series and improvementsand it was announced yesterday that it will arrive November 11th on all platforms.
The forty-year update will also be free for Xbox Game Pass owners, who already have the game included in their catalog. Below is the announcement trailer.

According to reports from the developers in the trailer, the game will see the introduction of 12 new aircraft (of which 6 historical), 12 heliports, 12 glider airports, 6 classic commercial airports e 20 new historical missions in franchising. The six historic aircraft include the 903 Wright Flyeril Curtiss JN-4 Jenny of 1915, the beautiful Grumman G-21 A Goose and the famous Hughes H-4 Hercules, also known as Spruce Goose. Also planned is the Airbus A-310, the iconic airliner.
The anniversary update comes after the release, last May, of theTop Gun: Maverick expansionwhich introduced a series of jet planes that we admired in the film of the same name with Tom Cruise.
