Apple is developing 3D video content for its Apple Vision Pro: Among this content will be a live-action series set in the Legendary monster universe, including Godzilla and other gigantic creatures – Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.

“Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” was shot with the format Spatial Video di Apple, which offers stereoscopic vision and spatial audio. Apple introduced this format in WWDC technical sessions, explaining how to take advantage of it on compatible headphones and devices.
Apple ha announced the series in January 2022, describing it as a story based on a secret organization called “Monarch“, who studies and fight the Titans that threaten the planet. The news comes from Sigmund Judge on Twitter – the Screentimes journalist explains that “people familiar with the production” have confirmed the production of the series. Which will have audio and spatial video, for immerse ourselves in the world of monsters with Vision Pro.
The release date of the show has not yet been announced by Apple, but could coincide with the debut of the Apple Vision Pro viewer. The show will be usable also in 2D mode, as well as in 3D, thanks to the Apple format which supports both options. Then, it will also be possible to watch it via traditional streaming services, such as Apple TV+. But if you want to see monsters in 3D, you need the Apple viewer.
