Not only the announcement of the game – which has been in the air for weeks anyway – but also an official release date. EA has announced today that Need for Speed: Unbound, the new game of the famous car racing franchise, will be officially released on December 2, 2022, in less than two months. The game will be available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. No old-gen consoles then.
Along with the announcement EA and developer Criterion Games have also unveiled the game’s first trailer.
The trailer for Need for Speed: Unbound, out on December 2nd
The trailer, which also sees the exclusive participation of the hugely popular rapper A$AP Rocky, was published on the official channel of the franchise with a tagline: “Start from the bottom and reach the top”. The presence of A $ AP Rocky points out a decidedly hip-hop aesthetic taste, as can be seen from the massive presence of graffiti and the outfits of the characters represented. In addition, the rapper will be one of the characters in the Takeover Scene mode. The trailer also seems to confirm the rumors that suggested the presence of anime elements.
As far as we know the game will be set in the fictional city of Lakeshore City, inspired in Chicago. The title will include an offline single-player campaign and a cross-platform online multiplayer mode. Benefiting from the power of new-gen consoles, the game will run at 4K is 60fps.
Finally, those who pre-order (available here) will benefit from some exclusive customization items and three days of early access to the game.
