Netflix: 2.41 million new streaming subscribers
The data for the third quarter of 2022 are definitely above expectations for the streaming giant. In addition to the increase in subscribers, it grossed in total 7.93 billion dollars, exceeding expectations by 7.85 billion.
The increase in subscribers comes across the board. Including the USA and Canada, where they grow by 104,000 reaching 73.4 million. The last time she grew up in this area was 2021 – the last six months have been particularly difficult for Netflix.
These good results come after several layoffs, particularly in the animation department. And also following the launch of the new Basic subscription with Advertisingto. That however will start the November 3: the reported increase comes before the eventual push of this new offer.
However, the streamer appears to be convinced that advertising can increase its subscriptions even further in recovery. “The reaction from advertisers has been overwhelmingly positive and we believe that more alternatives, especially for cost-conscious consumers, it will turn into an increase in revenues and profits over time ”.
It therefore seems that things are going the right way for Netflix, even without the weight of the news it is launching in this period. For the last quarter of the year the company still aims to grow: we will keep you informed.
