IOS users now have the option to sign up for Netflix and activate a new subscription directly from the application thanks to a new external link which directs the user to the portal of the streaming platform. The new system is part of Apple’s more open policies for apps that offer digital content and can now insert external links for new account registrations.
IOS users will be able to sign up for Netflix more easily
The new function is already active. Trying to register a new account with Netflix from the iOS app, in fact, the user will now find a link to the platform site. Before accessing this site, however, a warning will be displayed from Apple that underlines how with this procedure you are exiting the app to access an external website. In this case, Apple will no longer manage the operations.
The Cupertino house, in the message, also includes a link to a support page where all the details are illustrated. It should also be noted that by registering outside the store, the iOS user will not use Apple’s payment system but another system which, according to the Cupertino company, could be less reliable. In fact, however, iOS users will be able to register for Netflix by reaching the platform’s website and paying with their card or PayPal account. Netflix itself will guarantee the security of the transaction.
