Warner Bros Games and Avalanche Software have released a new gameplay video for Hogwarts Legacy: finally we can take a look at the component open-world and other interesting places of the expected action RPG. The title will debut on next-generation consoles on February 10, 2023. Let’s find out all the details together.
The new gameplay of Hogwarts Legacy, between open-world and magical creatures
In the first part of the video the player, one students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in late 1800s mounts his broom and fly above the open world. After flying over the Scottish Highlandsthe player lands to explore a village which offers the opportunity to meet different witches and wizards and also participate in research opportunities. The player then mounts a Obsidian hippogriff (a variant exclusive to those who pre-order the game) to traverse a landscape that sees winter coming and the land covered in snow.
In a second part, more focused on combatthe player wears items from the exclusive wardrobe part of the Cosmetic set of the Dark Arts. Here, cross the Forbidden Forest before riding a Thestral up to the Dark Arts Combat Arena. The Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, Thestral Mount, and Dark Arts Combat Arena are included in the Deluxe Editionin Digital Deluxe Edition and in Collector’s Edition di Hogwarts Legacy. They are also available as an in-game purchase of the Dark Arts Pack.
The player casts a spell Open Kedavra and the enemy’s health bar immediately goes to zero, and it is possible to bring tools such as with you into combat potions and plants from the Room of Requirement to help defeat enemies more efficiently.
The Room of Requirement
The final section of the video shows the player’s visit to the Room of Requirement. The whole space can be customized and it is also possible to edit architecture as the player summons items in space. Summons can be found in the “Tomes and Scrolls” library at Hogsmeade or received as reward for completing activities during the game.
It is also possible customize objects like plant pots e brewing stations. Finally, the player goes to the Vivario where beasts are healed and where Graphorn, Niffler, Kneazle and Mooncalf are revealed. By petting and feeding a beast the player will receive the magical ingredients needed to customize and upgrade your equipment.
We remind you that the title will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on February 10, 2023. On PS4, Xbox One and Switch the release is scheduled for July 25, 2023.
