EK has launched its brand new Quantum Momentum Monoblock for the ASUS ROG Z690-I Strix motherboard
L’Ithe premium manufacturer of liquid coolers (here for more info), is releasing EK-Quantum Momentum Strix Z690-I Gaming D-RGB – Plexi. A new monoblock based on Intel LGA1700 socket belonging to the Quantum product line. This monoblock is designed specifically for ASUS ‘ROG STRIX Z690-I GAMING motherboard. The addressable D-RGB LED in the monoblock is compatible with ASUS Aura Sync RGB control and offers a complete lighting customization experience for each individual diode at any time. This Momentum monoblock is compatible with EK-Matrix7.
This is a solution of full and all-in-one liquid cooling (CPU and motherboard) for 12th generation Intel Core series processors and is compatible with motherboard ROG Strix Z690-I Gaming ITX con socket LGA 1700. The monoblock uses the latest generation EK Velocity cooling engine to ensure the best possible CPU cooling without reducing flow to other components. This water block directly cools the Alder Lake CPU and VRM section. A special M.2 heatsink has been added to cool the front-mounted M.2 SSD. EK has also added an additional piece of I / O that contains the stock I / O cover, so as to preserve the original look of this ROG Strix motherboard.

The liquid flows directly to all critical areas, providing enthusiasts with a great cooling solution for high and stable overclocks. Like all other EK monoblocks, the EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Strix Z690-I Gaming features a high-flow design and can be easily used with systems that use weaker water pumps or run at lower pump speeds. The Quantum Momentum monobloc is also equipped with sophisticated D-RGB (addressable) lighting with a total of 14 LEDs. They connect to the standard 3-pin 5V D-RGB addressable header of this ROG Strix motherboard called the “Aura Gen2 header”.
The base of the monobloc is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper, while the top is made of quality cast acrylic material. Nickel-plated brass screw standoffs are pre-installed and allow for easy installation. The monoblock is supplied with a strip LED D-RGB digitale (Addressable) 3-pin 5V that connects to motherboard 3-pin LED header, while can be connected to any other supported 5V 3-pin LED controller. This product is compatible with ASUS Aura Sync RGB control software. The arrow mark on the 3-pin D-RGB LED connector must align with the + 5V mark on the AURA Addressable Gen2 header.

EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Strix Z690-I Gaming D-RGB, the Plexi monoblock is manufactured in Slovenia, Europe, and is readily available for pre-order through the EK Webshop and network of partner resellers. This Quantum Line monoblock will begin shipping in late July 2022. EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Strix Z690-I Gaming D-RGB – Plexi will have a starting price of 239.90 euros.
