The upcoming Sony INZONE gaming headset for PC has been unveiled ahead of launch
There is no shortage of gaming headsets on the market, but for some reason it seems like that Sony (here for more information on the company) has decided to be able to offer a range of competitive products in an already crowded segment. It is said that the company will launch its own brand INZONE of gaming headsets in the near future and at launch there will be a total of three different models. Common to all three models is Sony’s proprietary 360 spatial sound support, something that many of its high-end headphones already have, plus a fixed microphone on one arm, in addition to the integrated volume control.
Models of the new Sony INZONE gaming headsets
The basic model is theH3, which is a wired version that has a 3.5mm jack, but it also appears to come with a USB sound card. Interestingly, the H3 model has a switch for NC / AMB. This suggests it has some kind of noise canceling function, where AMB stands for ambient sound mode. The next step is theH7 which is the mid-range model and the first wireless option in the series. Here, too, the design changes, with only one attachment point between the headband and the earpads, while the H3 has a more traditional two-point attachment. The H7 and theH9 high-end are equipped with a dongle USB per l’uso wirelessbut it also appears to have audio support Bluetooth. Both models have a button game / chatwhich can be used to adjust the volume separately between two different inputs.
Technical details
The top-of-the-range H9 SKU adds at least one blue LED effect on the pavilions, but it’s unclear if there is support for RGB. It’s unclear what the difference between the H7 and H9 is outside of this one, as both seem to feature noise cancellation. Both the H7 and the H9 are equipped with a port USB Type-C for charging, although the leaked details did not include any kind of indication of battery life. Sony appears to have borrowed the headband on wireless models from its noise-canceling headphones WH-1000XM5but otherwise it appears that the new INZONE range of headphones largely uses a new design language from Sony.
