Nothing has officially released its most important update: Nothing OS 1.5, based on Android 13. In December, Nothing OS 1.5 in open beta was released to a small number of users. Since then, Nothing has worked together with Beta users to learn more about their overall experience, incorporating their feedback to create the smoothest and most secure user experience on Nothing Phone.
The Nothing OS 1.5 update. Here are the details
The Nothing OS 1.5 update is the newest update released by Nothing. It brings with it a number of very interesting features. First there will be app improvements, such as the weather and camera app interface has been improved. Not only that: there is up to a 50% increase in app loading speed.
The user experience has been greatly improved, in fact, the quick settings panel of the network allows you to easily change the data usage when using the dual SIM. There’s also a new QR code scanner in Quick Settings and the camera app, and multilingual support lets you use different languages for different apps.
Also, there is a preview of the clipboard: Copied text appears in the clipboard in the lower corner of the screen. This way you can edit the text directly before pasting it. And you can close background apps right from action center to save battery.
There are a number of visual improvements. A new look for the Media control: You can show album artwork and a wider range of music controls in full screen. But also an improvement in volume control: you can easily adjust individual volume sliders without unlocking the screen (e.g. music vs ringtone).
Notifications are less distracting while you’re on game mode thanks to the Google Game Dashboard. Dashboard supports screenshots, screen recording, FPS view and do not disturb mode. The live caption mode: detects speech on the device and automatically generates captions. Not only that, even smoother animations when the display switches from on to off.
