NVIDIA at Gamescom 2023 presented Ray Reconstruction thanks to the new DLSS 3.5
Among the many innovations, NVIDIA presented the version of the technology NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 con Ray Reconstruction – A new AI model for neural rendering that creates ray-traced images that are sharper, more immersive and more realistic than traditional rendering methods, by replacing manually-tuned denoisers with an AI network trained by an NVIDIA supercomputer that generates higher-quality pixels between the sampled rays.
NVIDIA also announced the games that will support this new feature, including:
- Alan Wake 2: Out October 27 with DLSS 3.5, Full Ray Tracing and Reflex
- Cyberpunk 2077 e Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty: Available from September with DLSS 3.5, Full Ray Tracing and Reflex
- Portal con RTX: will adopt DLSS 3.5 this fall
DLSS 3.5 will also come up GeForce NOW when Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty launch in the Cloud. Members can also enjoy the DLSS 3.5 update for Portal with RTX from the cloud.

DLSS 3.5 will also be able to optimize image quality in real-time 3D creation applications: D5 Render and Chaos Vantage, two well-known professional 3D applications perfect for architects and designers, will now be able to produce higher quality previews when designing and development thanks to the addition of DLSS 3.5. Additionally, NVIDIA Omniverse will also integrate DLSS 3.5 in the fall.
NVIDIA at Gamescom 2023 presented RTX Remix
NVIDIA RTX Remix – the free modding platform built on NVIDIA Omniverse – gives modders the tools to create and share mods #RTXON for classic games. A remaster project of one of the most beloved games of all time, Half-Life 2 by Valve, called Half Life 2 RTX: An RTX Remix Project, is on its way… so get ready!
Half-Life 2 RTX: An RTX Remix Project
The Half-Life 2 community has begun developing a remaster RTX Remix per Half-Life 2 using an early access version of the RTX Remix creation toolkit.
Using RTX Remix, modders are rebuilding materials with PBR (Physically Based Rendering) properties, adding more geometric detail via Valve’s Hammer editor, and leveraging NVIDIA technologies including full ray-tracing, DLSS 3, Reflex and RTX IO, to deliver a fantastic experience for GeForce RTX gamers. Take a first look at the announcement trailer for Half-Life 2 RTX: An RTX Remix Project.
In the NVIDIA Studio – Gaming Edition
Says Makhmudov, a dynamic 19-year-old digital artist joins the In the NVIDIA Studio series to showcase his 3D artwork inspired by the amazing game series The Witcher. Working with Cinema 4D, Makhmudov enjoyed smooth interactivity even while working with complex 3D models, thanks to the GPU-accelerated viewport and GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card.
NVIDIA ACE brings emotion to NPCs powered by AI with NeMo SteerLM
NVIDIA ACE is a custom AI modeling technology which aims to make non-playable characters (NPCs) intelligent through AI-based natural language interactions. Thanks to ACE, generic NPCs can be transformed into interactive characters capable of starting a conversation or providing local knowledge leading to new missions.
At COMPUTEX 2023, NVIDIA demonstrated the demo of ACE Kairos, with Jin, the owner of the ramen shop, rendered in Unreal Engine 5 with RTX ON. Over the next several months, the team at NVIDIA has continued to evolve ACE – the latest being the inclusion of NVIDIA NeMo SteerLMa new technique that allows developers to customize NPC personalities for more emotional, realistic, and memorable interactions.
Most LLMs are designed to provide only ideal responses, devoid of personality or emotion, as can be seen by interacting with chat bots. With the SteerLM technique, on the other hand, LLMs are trained to provide responses aligned with particular attributes, ranging from humor to creativity to aggression, all rapidly configurable through simple sliders.
