Next week OnePlus will officially present the new OnePlus 10T. The new flagship of the brand will then arrive on the market in the following weeks alongside the current top of the range OnePlus 10 Pro. The smartphone is already causing discussion due to a serious (for many fans of the brand) lack. The new OnePlus 10T will not have the Alert Slider.
OnePlus 10T: the Alert Slider will not be there for reasons of space
To explain the reason for the absence of the Alert Slider was the OnePlus designer, Hope Liu, during an interview with The Verge. At the basis of the choice there would be, in fact, a problem of space. The Alert Slider occupies, in fact, a fairly significant portion of the motherboard and the company has chosen to sacrifice it to make room for other elements and to avoid an increase in thickness.
The official reasons are, inevitably, also discussed in consideration of the fact that the new OnePlus 10T will be able to count on not very useful 2 megapixel macro sensor. The OnePlus manager has confirmed that the smartphone will be able to count on a 6.7-inch display diagonally and on the sensor Sony IMX766 da 50 Megapixel for the rear camera. At the base of the project there will be the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
The appointment with the official presentation of the smartphone is set for next 3 August. Further details on the specifics of the project will arrive in the coming days.
