OnePlus has already confirmed that its first foldable smartphone, presumably called “OnePlus Open”, will arrive in the third quarter of this year. Now, according to new rumors, it seems that the launch date for the leaflet is expected OnePlus Open will be on August 29. By the end of the summer, therefore, we will be able to see the brand’s debut in this new field.

Today’s report from SmartPrix and confirmed by leaker Max Jambor, references a launch event to be held in New York. This choice of venue recalls last year’s launch event for the OnePlus 10T, held in the same city.
The OnePlus Open is expected to be a high-end foldable smartphone, featuring a large internal display of about 8 inchesa processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powerful and a high-quality camera system. This device has been featured as a leading competitor in the leaflet industry. And that aims to compete with Samsung, which will soon announce its new Fold and Flip.
Instead, according to Max Jambor, OnePlus 12 is expected to launch in December. Initially, the launch will be focused on chinese market, with an international launch expected later. The OnePlus 11 followed a similar path, with a January launch in China followed by an international launch in February.
OnePlus fans must therefore stay alert: among the many launches this year, it seems that OnePlus wants to reserve two important moments for its first leaflet and for its new top of the range.
