Oppo announces the birth of the Research Institute Innovation Accelerator, a proposal for professionals and entrepreneurs in the technological field. Organized in partnership with Microsoft for Startupsaims to encourage technological innovators to tackle the big problems of the near future.

The program revolves around the theme Virtuous Innovation and is divided into two important areas: accessible technology e digital health. Teams interested in the acceleration program or interested individuals will be selected until the 10 winning proposals.
These ten finalists will receive a grant from $ 46,000 each. But also investment opportunities, technical support and the definition of commercial and research partnerships at global events.
Levin Liu, Vice President and Head of the OPPO Research Institute, explains: “OPPO deeply believes in the idea of ’Virtuous Innovation’ and in the constant search for new technologies, committing ourselves to making sure that they put people first. Through technology, we are trying to solve some of the greatest problems that humanity faces, in order to create a better world for all. “
And he points out that “Considering the seriousness of some current problems, such as an aging population, poor public health and the digital divide that are increasing by the day, we could not rely on our efforts alone to provide effective solutions. We therefore started the Innovation Accelerator to give the opportunity to like-minded innovators solve these problems together with ususing the power of technology. “
Applications are open
The Innovation Accelerator 2022 has opened online applications from 8 May. We will know the winners after three months of preliminary evaluations and the roadshow Demo Day. The ten selected startups will be entitled to:
- Circa $ 46,000 in grants
- Partnership and financing opportunities
- Marketing of the proposal through integration with OPPO products
- Advertising and visibility at global technology events
- Support from OPPO’s R&D team, including opportunities to meet industry professionals e present your idea to them
