The global technology brand OnePlus officially presents its today OxygenOS 14 operating system to users all over the world. Powered by OnePlus’ latest technologies and algorithms, OxygenOS 14 includes a host of new features that give users a smarter and more convenient digital life.
OxygenOS 14: Unprecedented fast and smooth experience with Trinity Engine
OxygenOS 14 marks the debut of Trinity Engine, an advanced proprietary platform that incorporates six innovative technologies. These intelligently exploit the full potential of the hardware of OnePlus devices. Trinity Engine was designed to better handle the most demanding aspects, including multi-tasking, intensive activities and use for long periods of time.
The heart of Trinity Engine consists of CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization and ROM Vitalization. They intelligently distribute your smartphone’s resources for better performance, longer battery life and a smooth experience for a long time.
Specifically, the CPU Vitalization it is a world-class technology for programming computing power. It adopts a sophisticated model to offer the best balance between performance and power consumption in different scenarios. To do this, it extends battery life by up to 20 minutes, without compromising the performance of the device.
To ensure a seamless experience when switching and launching applications, the RAM Vitalization was first introduced on the OnePlus 11 with OxygenOS 13. This memory performance optimization technology has been updated in OxygenOS 14 to deliver a 10% improvement in fluidity during daily use. But also to allow the most used applications to run in the background for up to 72 hours.
Furthermore, the ROM Vitalization helps provide a fast and smooth experience to OnePlus devices even after 48 months of use. Furthermore, it effectively solves performance decline issues that occur with prolonged use of the smartphone. Incorporating different technologies such as efficient compression algorithms, file defragmentation and memory acceleration.
The immersive gaming experience with OxygenOS 14
The gaming experience becomes more immersive and fluid on OxygenOS 14 thanks to HyperRendering, HyperTouch and HyperBoost technologies. HyperRendering is a proprietary graphics optimization algorithm that helps generate a better visual experience in games.
HyperTouch guarantees an incredibly smooth, precise and stable tactile experience, thanks to the complete optimization of the tactile logic and anti-mistouch across the entire screen. To solve the problem of high power consumption without compromising the stable-frame-rate experience, the new generation of HyperBoost incorporates automatic artificial intelligence functions, intelligent performance control and graphics arrangement techniques.
Prioritize privacy protection and security with new features introduced by OxygenOS 14
OxygenOS 14 leverages the power of artificial intelligence to integrate privacy and security algorithms and features to provide comprehensive protection at the device, application and data levels.
Oxygen OS comes with the Device Security Engine 3.0, based on the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). This function guarantees an effective improvement in the security of the device to prevent cracking and de-compilation attempts by malicious actors.
The Security Center is also updated with a new interface that makes it easier to manage your device’s security status and privacy options. It can also help alert you to potential security risks, providing greater transparency when it comes to data protection.
Additionally, a security encryption technology called Strong Box powered by the integrated eSE (embedded Secure Element) security chip, to ensure that the use of passwords by third parties protects sensitive data.
Auto Pixelate 2.0 to protect your data
The popular Auto Pixelate feature also receives an update in OxygenOS 14. With Auto Pixelate 2.0more sensitive information, such as contact details and credit card numbers, can now be automatically pixelated when sharing via screenshot.
Another new feature is the new permission management option for sending multimedia content, with the “Ask every time” setting: when this setting is activated, the application must request permission through a pop-up window before accessing photos and videos. When the application requests permission there is also an option that allows the user to select content from the Gallery.
An even more instinctive user interface with an aquamorphic design
OxygenOS 14 continues the simplification of Aquamorphic Design, first introduced in OOS 13. The design philosophy of Aquamorphic Design 2.0 offers intuitive flow to guide users in using the smartphone. With new interactions, animations, music, color systems and more, getting what you want from your device has never been easier.
The most important new feature of Aquamorphic Design 2.0 is Fluid Cloud, a new way of interacting with information based on the philosophy of Aquamorphic Design. Inspired by the solid, liquid and gaseous structure of Aquamorphic Design, Fluid Cloud presents notifications within bubbles, capsules and panels that appear in the graphics in a natural and fluid way.
This new version of the status bar can present different forms of real-time services with minimal interruption at the top of the screen, based on your customized preferences and priorities. Additionally, Fluid Cloud notifications can be presented cross-device for even greater convenience.
The color system based on the time of day
OxygenOS 14’s color system changes dynamically based on factors such as time of day, smartphone status, and content. For example, when your phone is charging the battery status tab will show a gradient animation, while when you exercise the fitness data tracked on your phone will scroll and change color. Throughout the day, the color of the lock screen background will also change, to remind you of the passage of time.
Sound has also been redesigned with OxygenOS 14. Nine sets of Aquamorphic-themed ringtones – including calls, alarms and notifications – and eleven sound designs have been added to the user interface. Characterized by clear and clean sound effects, these innovations bring the vitality and calm of nature into every digital interaction.
Con Go Green AOD it is easier for users to make greener and healthier choices every day. The new theme, with AOD’s carbon footprint, changes based on your daily step count, intuitively showing how more steps can lead to a reduction in CO2 and a better environment for our planet.
Enhanced productivity and immersive entertainment with new smart features
OxygenOS 14 offers a host of smart features to make life and work more engaging and efficient. The function File Dock allows you to collect, analyze and share information through the Dock or other applications, simply by making movements. You can also use the collected content to work on different screens, such as phones and tablets, by simply dragging and dropping it where you want it.
With OOS14 the function Note has been updated to improve the user experience, allowing you to focus on usability and providing even more convenient, enriched and intelligent editing features. Additionally, the feature allows you to use various formatting options, including colors, strikethroughs, and divisions. It can also create text templates by combining font sizes and styles for paragraphs, dividers, and more.
When you use the same account for multiple OnePlus devices, phones and tablets, equipped with OxygenOS 14, you can make them connect to each other faster and more stably than ever before and with much more intuitive operation, allowing the sharing of connectivity functions even on multiple devices at the same time.
Furthermore, thanks to the function Smart Cutout you can crop up to three subjects in a photo or video by simply long-pressing on the specific subject you want to crop. This feature can also recognize and accurately extract from complex backgrounds, or from backgrounds that share a similar color scheme as the subject, or in group photos.
