Panasonic presents the new multimedia processor for immersive experiences

Panasonic Connect Europe announced that in 2024 will launch the first of a new range of multimedia processor designed for the world of multi-projection. Ideal for traveling immersive experiences and fixed installations, the device it will simplify workflows. Furthermore, it will provide high quality content for the Location Based Entertainment sector using Panasonic projectors, a reference in the professional video projection market.

Traditionally, the servers necessary to manage content for immersive experiences are installed in dedicated rooms. Taking up precious space and requiring cables and power supplies. The new multimedia processor allows a new flexible and efficient approach which is based on the positioning of the hardware necessary for playing content next to the projectors. This eliminates wiring and ensures resilience against signal loss.

Il Panasonic multimedia processor combines the computing power of a media server with the flexibility of a compact and economical media player. Allowing you to project content onto any surface, such as flat and curved screens, with dome and 3D functionality which will be added in future versions. The new Media Processor will be available in two formats.

A compact hardware box for convenient installation outside the media server room and closer to the projectors and a version Intel Smart Display Module (SDM) for integration directly into Panasonic projectors equipped with SDM, for further simplification. Both versions will be made available as an exclusive preview atISE 2024 in Barcelona from 30 January to 2 February.
