Arriving on the Italian market with a price of 399.00 euros, Google’s Pixel Watch 2 presents, like its predecessor, perfect integration with the Pixel system!
Presented on October 4th and launched on the market 8 days later, Pixel Watch 2 presents itself as the Made by Google smartwatch available in 2 versions: Bluetooth+Wi-Fi or Bluetooth+Wi-Fi+LTE (however this version is not available in Italy), which cost respectively 399,00 euro e 449,00 euro.
Design | Pixel Watch 2
The watch is made of an aluminum case (100% recycled). 41 x1 2,3 mm with a weight of 31 grams (strap excluded); aesthetically, it offers a minimalist line interrupted exclusively by the lateral circular crown, useful for navigating certain parts of the system.
The device can be purchased in 3 colors regarding the case: matte black, shiny silver and champagne gold, but there is the possibility of customizing it with a multitude of different straps available.
Hardware | Pixel Watch 2
From the point of view of technical specifications, Google’s latest smartwatch features a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 CPU side, and one Adreno A702 GPU side, it is also equipped with a co-processor Cortex M33 dedicated mainly to aspects relating to energy saving; the screen, however, is a AMOLED with maximum brightness 1000 nits and a pixel density of 350 ppi, protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 made specifically for the particular shape of the watch.
In terms of autonomy, the battery gives 306 mAh guarantees a day of use (with Always-on active) without the need for any recharging, which takes place via a special base in approximately 80 min (0%-100%).
Certification is not missing IP68, GPS ed NFC for mobile payments!
Finally, the device brings an improvement related to the heart rate detection sensor, and the addition of a sensor yield dedicated to stress monitoring.
Software
Pixel Watch 2 enjoys all the advantages offered by Wear OS 4which, developed by Google specifically for these devices, offers many dials to choose from, but above all hosts the Google Play Store, which gives the possibility of installing apps such as Gmail o Google Calendar and to use Google Assistant.
To support the smart aspect, guaranteed by Google, the fit and well-being aspect is managed by the suite Fitbitwhich guarantees multiple training modes designed by Fitbit trainers
Most exercise modes require Fitbit Premium, however, with the purchase of the watch you will receive a 6 month free trial!
