Sony PlayStation could announce a new event soon State of Playdedicated to the news coming to the PS5 console.
Some credible insiders suggest this, including Jeff Grubb, NateTheHate e Nick Baker. The latter also revealed a list of games that should be presented during the mini-showcase, which will presumably be held between January 31st and February 1st, with the announcement that could arrive in the next few days
What games will we see in the next PlayStation State of Play?
According to Nick Baker, the next State of Play will offer new information on some titles highly anticipated by fans, such as Rise of the Ronin, Death Stranding 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Judas e Silent Hill 2 Remake.
On the 31st (roughly), Ronins will Rise, we’ll die stranded, have a rebirth and Kojima will fulfil his dream. Sonic will live in the shadow of his generation while the hills will remain silent until the dawn when you’ll need to catch the metro. Just don’t be a Judas about it.

Furthermore, the insider reports upcoming announcements related to Sonic Generations Remaster and to a new chapter in the saga of Metro. Baker noted that the list may not be definitive, and that there could be other surprises. And here’s another slew of pretty good titles: Until Dawn Remaster, Stellar Blade, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Pacific Drive e Helldivers 2.
At the moment, however, Sony has not made any official announcements, and these rumors should be taken for what they are: rumors. Reliable, of course, but still rumors. On the other front, however, Xbox has already held its first Developer Direct of 2024.
