Over the past few hours, many users PlayStation are looking with concern at the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft, and they’re starting to ask Sony to make the same investments. PlayStation Studios: Fans demand the acquisition of Kojima Productions
In the past few hours, fans of PlayStation they got excited to say the least on social media, flooding the social channels of the Japanese giant clamoring for an operation similar to that undertaken by Microsoft, which to acquire Activision Blizzard he spent an impressive 70 billion dollars. The desire of the fans, however, goes in a specific direction, as you have already guessed.
PlayStation users in fact would like Sony to acquire Kojima Productions e Konami, to make them an integral part of the PlayStation Studios. Such a move would allow the Japanese company to have exclusive franchises such as Castlevania, Metal Gear and Silent Hill, not to mention Death Stranding, the latest effort by Hideo Kojima released just a few years ago.
Although the wishes of the community are quite clear, it is very unlikely that Sony will take this path, given that for the moment the company seems to prefer the exclusive agreements with third-party studios. On the other hand, it is rather unlikely that Sony is interested in acquiring these companies, given their tendency to want to remain independent.
The prospect that these two realities become part of the Sony stable, in short, is rather unlikely, at least for the moment. The future, however, could hold us some unexpected surprises, depending on how much the new purchase from Microsoft will affect the gaming market.
