The winners of the 2023 National Innovation Award (PNI) have been announced, a stage of excellence that rewarded and celebrated the best emerging startups in Italy. The event, held today at Palazzo Lombardysaw the recognition of the most innovative projects.

Promoted by PNICube and organized in collaboration with the Lombardy Region and several Milanese universities, the National Innovation Award has brought together 71 finalist startups coming from the best regional competitions. All entities selected from a vast network of universities, incubators and research institutions in 17 Italian regions.
The jury, made up of authoritative figures from the business, research and venture capital world, evaluated the projects based on their technological value, practical feasibility and their development potential on the market. But also based on the adequacy of the team’s skills and attractiveness for investors.

Among the winners of the sector awardsFocoos Ai received the ICT award becoming the overall winner. The company provides cutting-edge software that automates the creation and training of computer vision networks optimized for low-power devices. Something that offers relevant solutions for the aerospace industry.
Foreverland won in the Industrial category, proposing an innovative sustainable and cocoa-free chocolate. Preinvel has obtained recognition in the Cleantech & Energy sector thanks to its fluid-dynamic industrial filter. Livgemini triumphs in the Life Sciences-Medtech sector thanks to the development of an advanced tool for the diagnosis and monitoring of aortic aneurysm based on a medical digital model.
In addition to the sector awards, several startups have received special recognitions and scholarships for innovative projects with a strong social impact. This event proved to be not only an opportunity to reward excellence in innovation, but also a moment of sharing and collaboration between emerging talents and expert figures in the field of entrepreneurship and research, projecting the most innovative ideas towards a sustainable future full of potential.
