PlayStation Blog has just published the official ranking of the best games of the year, whose votes were ongoing until last December 8th. Winning the PlayStation Blog’s Game of the Year scepter was none other than Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, but let’s take a more specific look at all the candidates who battled for the title.
PlayStation Blog: Game of the Year is Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart
As we anticipated at the beginning, it was the PlayStation Blog’s Game of the Year title Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, which totally defeated the competition, made up of titles of the caliber of Resident Evil Village, Returnal and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which placed themselves in the next positions.
As if that were not enough, the exclusive PlayStation 5 has managed to bring home several other prizes, specifically those for Best Art Direction, Best Use of DualSense, Best Graphic Showcase. It is no coincidence that Insomniac Games was also elected Studio of the Year, precisely for having given birth to this product so much appreciated by the Sony community.
To win the award for best video game PlayStation 4 was Resident Evil Village, but the Capcom game also managed to take home a plethora of other trophies, such as the one for the Best Story and the Best New Character with Lady Dimitrescu, an award that among other things echoes the one won for the same reason at the Game Awards 2021.
Less lucky It Takes Two, instead, which can only boast the title of best multiplayer video game according to the PlayStation Blog, in direct contrast to the official results of the show directed by Geoff Keighley, the occasion in which it won the Game of the Year 2021 award.

We remind you that the winners were determined through the vote of the users, and it is strange not to see even a prize awarded to Returnal, the Housemarque roguelike, which was highly appreciated by the PlayStation community, but which inexplicably is absent in this list.
