Redmi A3, the latest economical smartphone from the Chinese company equipped with a 5000mAh battery and Android 14 arrives in Italy
Xiaomi’s low-cost brand, Redmi, has announced the launch of Redmi A3a new entry-level smartphone that stands out for its large 5000mAh battery, 6.71″ display with 90Hz refresh rate and triple camera with artificial intelligence.
Redmi A3 in Italy: hardware and performance
The smartphone is based on Android 14 and mounts a processor MediaTek Helio G36 with maximum speed of 2.2 GHz. The smartphone is available in only one memory configuration: 3GB + 64GB.
RAM can be virtually expanded by another 6GB (for a maximum total of 9GB) via memory technology Virtual RAM by Xiaomi. The storage space, however, is expandable up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD slot.
Redmi A3 in Italy: display and camera
The display is a IPS LCD da 6.71″ with HD+ resolution (1650 x 720 pixels) and 90Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate makes the user experience more fluid and pleasant, especially when scrolling and web browsing.
On the back, Redmi A3 features a dual camera with 8MP main sensor and a second 2MP sensor for depth of field. The camera comes with several AI-powered features, including AI portrait mode with depth control, automatic scene detection, and face enhancement. The front camera is 5MP and is housed in a waterdrop notch.
Battery and connectivity
Redmi A3 is powered by a 5000mAh battery which guarantees long-lasting autonomy. Charging takes place via a 10W USB-C port.
The smartphone is equipped with a sensor for fingerprint recognition placed on the sideambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, 3.5mm audio jack and 4G/LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac at 2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3 and GPS receiver assisted with Glonass, Beidou and Galileo.
Availability and prices
Available on Amazon Italy in the configuration with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space at the price of approx 110 euro. These are the three color variations:
