Here are the first official posters of the new TV series based on the famous Resident Evil videogame franchise, out on July 14, 2022 on Netflix.
Resident Evil: the TV series from July 14 on Netflix
After confirming its intention to make a Resident Evil-inspired TV series in 2020, Netflix confirms today that the first season will be released in July. The platform has also released a series of official posters, and announced that 8 episodes of the first season will be released from 14 July. As far as we know, the plot will unfold on two timelines, and will tell the story of Albert Wesker (Lance Reddick) and his two children, Jade and Billie. The two stories take place about a decade apart.
The showrunner of the series will be Andrew Dabb (Supernatural), while the executive producer will be Bronwen Hughes (The Walking Dead). The latter will also direct the first two episodes. With Lance Reddickthe cast will consist of Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph e Paola Nunez.
The hugely popular Resident Evil video game franchise is no stranger to film and serial adaptations. Just last year the film Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City was released, starring Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen and Robbie Amell.
