Review NZXT H6 Flow RGB

In this review we will analyze the latest NZXT case: the H6 Flow RGB, characterized by the particular “double chamber” design

The NZXT family of cases has expanded with the introduction ofH6 Flow RGB. NZXT is a leading PC components company, with a wide range of products including cases, power supplies, CPU coolers, motherboards and more. With the emphasis placed on the quality and minimal appearance of its components, the Californian company is among the most loved.

Compatible with ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, the H6 Flow RGB case is a “dual chamber” model. This means that the inside of the case is divided into two main sections: the main chamber and the power supply chamber. The main chamber houses the main components of the system, such as the motherboard, processor, memory, GPU and storage. The power supply chamber houses the power supply and other secondary components, such as cables or SSDs. Let’s discover this particular model together, understanding the pros and cons!

Unboxing | NZXT Review H6 Flow RGB

Upon opening the box of the NZXT H6 Flow RGB, we immediately realized that the case was perfectly protected during transport. The box is sturdy and resistant, and inside there is a plastic bag that completely envelops the case. Furthermore, the case is inserted into two polystyrene sections that protect it from impacts, locking it in place and preventing it from moving.

The front and side tempered glass is protected by cardboard to prevent the two glasses from hitting each other. Furthermore, the glass is covered with internal and external protective films which must be removed after assembly.

Even inside the case, all cables are secured so that they do not wander around during transport. This is an important detail that allows you to avoid damage to the interior too.

First impressions | NZXT H6 Flow RGB Review

When we first saw the NZXT H6 Flow RGB, we were a little perplexed by its shape. The angled front panel is certainly a distinctive element, but we weren’t immediately crazy about it.

However, once we started building our build inside the case, we started to appreciate its shape. The aesthetics of the NZXT H6 Flow RGB are one of its strong points. The case is available in two colors: white and black. The white version is the one we had the opportunity to test, and we were very impressed by its elegant and refined design. The double tempered glass panel offers a complete view of the internal components.

The quality of the components used in the NZXT H6 Flow RGB is very high. The case is made of aluminum and tempered glass, which are sturdy and durable materials. The glass panels are of high quality and offer perfect transparency. In this version, the case will come fully equipped three NZXT F120 RGB Core fans, equipped with 8 LED RGB blades that allow you to create customizable lighting effects. Unfortunately, No RGB controller is included which allows you to control the lighting separately and, if you want to customize them individually, you should purchase one separately.

Assembly | NZXT H6 Flow RGB Review

Our configuration consists of:

  • Processore: Intel Core i5 12600k
  • Motherboard: NZXT N5 Z690
  • RAM: IRDM Goodram 16gb 3600 MHz (2x8gb)
  • Alimentatore: Be Quiet! Dark Power 13
  • Video card: Nvidia RTX 3070 Zotac AMP Holo
  • SSD: Samsung 980 1 TB, Lexar 256 GB
  • Dissipator: NZXT Kraken 240 RGB

Il assembly of the NZXT H6 Flow RGB is an easy experience given the large room for maneuver offered by the latter. The H6 Flow RGB can accommodate GPUs up to 365mm and CPU coolers up to 163mm. This means that most hardware configurations should accommodate without issue. There cable management And really simple given the large space in the back. We could easily hide all the cables without space problems. In particular, we appreciated the side cable entry hole, which makes it easier to route cables from the top of the case. The management in the lower part is perhaps a little problematicwhere the hole for passing the cables could have been a little wider.

The case comes with three 120mm fans pre-installed at the front. We added five more 120mm fans to improve airflow, where two were installed on the radiator. The pre-installed fans, although equipped with RGB lighting, non I am particularly silent. In fact, we had to reduce the fan speed to automatically reduce the noise.

We liked it then memory cage on the back, removable by unscrewing a single screw by hand, in which we have mounted our SSD. In general, everything is easy to access due to the design of the case which requires no tools to disassemble. All external screws can be unscrewed by hand and the various bulkheads are interlocking.

Temperatures and efficiency | NZXT H6 Flow RGB Review

The temperature achieved by the NZXT H6 Flow RGB have been good in all scenarios. During games, the GPU temperature hovered around 70°C, while the CPU temperature hovered around 40/45°C. During stress benchmarks, temperatures increased slightly, but still remained within acceptable limits. Overall, the NZXT H6 Flow RGB can handle even powerful components without overheating issues.

The efficiency of the NZXT H6 Flow RGB is good, but not the best on the market. The case is a bit noisy, especially during gaming sessions. At 50% fan speed, the noise sits at around 48 dBA. This is a high value for a case of this size. The fans are obviously to blame. By changing them or, more simply, regulating their speed, you will certainly be able to obtain a fair compromise.

Let’s sum it up

The NZXT H6 Flow RGB is a mid-tower case with a good design and good build quality. The aesthetics are elegant and refined, and the double tempered glass panel offers a complete view of the internal components. The case is easy to assemble and cable management is simple. The temperatures reached are good, even for powerful configurations. However, the case is a bit noisy, especially during gaming sessions. This can be resolved by changing the fans or adjusting their speed.

Overall, the NZXT H6 Flow RGB is a good choice for those looking for a stylish, well-built, and easy-to-assemble mid-tower case. However, if silence is a priority, you may want to consider other options.

The double room convinces!
