Samsung announced today the release ofSSD 990 EVOwhich promises high performance with a better one energy efficiency. It can make a difference to the gamingil Work and theediting videos/photoswith speeds of up to 5,000 MegaBytes per second.

Samsung explains to us what the 990 EVO delivers improved performance up to 43% compared to the previous model, 970 EVO Plus. Sequential reading speed is up to 5,000 megabytes per second (MB/s) and writing speed up to 4.200 MB/s. Offers up to a maximum of 700K input/output operations per second (IOPS) e 800K IOPS.
Technology Host Memory Buffer (HMB) allows you to connect directly to DRAM of your computer’s processor. This allows the SSD to provide optimized performance even with a system without DRAM. This should allow you to load games much faster, especially for those coming from traditional SSDs.
Furthermore, Samsung 990 EVO has improved theenergy efficiency up to 70% compared to 970 EVO Plus. This should reduce consumption and extend battery life in portable solutions. It also supports Modern Standby1which allows an instant on/off function with uninterrupted Internet connectivity and seamless notification reception.
Thanks to the interface support PCIe 4.0 x4 e PCIe 5.0 x2, the 990 EVO unit is truly futuristic. You can find it in the versions from 1 terabyte (TB) e 2 TB.

Currently available to consumers worldwide, the manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the 990 EVO is 169,99 euro for the model from 1 TB e 259,99 euro for the model from 2 TB.
