As every year, Samsung has unveiled its projects del C-Lab per il CES 2022, with the aim of evaluating customer response and further advancing the most promising ideas: among them we also find one smart LED guitar, the star of the show.
ZamStar, Samsung’s smart LED guitar
The star of the show this year is ZamStar, a combo of guitar e app designed to make collaboration and learning easier. Other noteworthy projects include a AI solution to help children develop good habits with your smartphone it’s a nursery mobile which can allow the early detection of childhood strabismus.
ZamStar consists of an app and a custom guitar called ZamString. The idea is that you can play a part on the guitar, add effects and then synchronize it with other musicians all over the world. The ZamString guitar possesses a fingerboard that illuminates through the input of a song. This way children will know where to place their fingers.
Pilot, meanwhile, is what Samsung calls an “AI solution that helps children develop proper smartphone usage habits.” The goal is to teach children “self-regulation skills” about smart devices to help them make good choices.
In the end, Innovision is “an eye care system for daily living with a mobile set-up capable of capturing suspicious symptoms of strabismus and monitoring the developmental status of children’s vision”. Sounds like a smart idea, since kids watch of course to mobile phones.
Samsung’s C-Lab Outside is also arguing new startup, including a solution of AI-based biometric recognition for pets called Petnow. All these projects will be exhibited and presented at CES 2022. So far, Samsung still seems to have plans to participate in the event and has not followed the example of other exhibitors (Google, Lenovo, Intel, Amazon, Meta, T-Mobile) by canceling the own participation.
