The problem would be related to the procurement of materials, which will lead the Samsung Galaxy S22 to come out a week later. But the risk is that the date will still be postponed. Let’s try to understand what is happening.
Samsung Galaxy S22: a date that is best marked with a pencil on the calendar
Typically, industry giants such as Samsung ed Apple, work on their roadmap in a forward-looking way, with big long-term projects. However, even large companies are vulnerable to unforeseen events, which risk ruining important releases. Let’s think, for example, of the Galaxy S21 FE, whose numerous leaks have revealed the device practically in its entirety before its release. After all unexpected events generate delays, delays generate expectation that generates curiosity which, inevitably, end up generating information leaks. The fact is that, to date, not even the shadow of the Galaxy S21 FE.
The fear is that the same could happen, and this time not with a cheap device, but with the highly anticipated one Samsung Galaxy S22 (in the standard, plus and ultra versions), whose expectations are skyrocketing. Initially, in line with its predecessor S21, it was expected an official release in January. After an initial delay, which moved the output to the February 19, today comes the news that the device it will not be released until February 25th. The time gap between preo-order and release therefore becomes even wider, and we assure you that it is never a good sign. Also because there is a long time left until February 25th, so the risk is that there will be further delays.
Samsung said the Galaxy S22 is experiencing “significant supply chain problems”. And to worry us more, and to make us believe that February 25 is a date to be marked only in pencil, is the use of the adjective meaningful.
