Here is the official list of Samsung devices that will soon receive the long-awaited update with the OneUI 6.1 graphic interface
The One UI 6.1 is the new version of the user interface of Samsungbased on Android 14, which introduces several new features and improvements for Galaxy devices. Among these, the functions of Galaxy AI, which use artificial intelligence to make the experience of using smartphones and tablets simpler and more personalized. Samsung OneUI 6.1: improvements and Galaxy AI
Samsung announced One UI 6.1 along with the new ones Galaxy S24, its top of the range for 2024, which offer high-level performance, cameras and battery life, as well as a renewed and attractive design. The Galaxy S24 are also the first devices to feature One UI 6.1, which makes them even smarter and more versatile.
Among the exclusive functions of this interface, there are: Live translation, which performs real-time voice and text translations of calls bidirectionally within the native “phone” app. No third-party apps are required to use, and the on-device AI keeps conversations completely private.
Con Interpreter, live conversations can be instantly translated and displayed on a split screen, so speakers, facing each other, can read a verbatim transcript of what the other person said. It works even without a data or Wi-Fi connection. For messages and other apps, Chat Assistant it can help refine the tone of the conversation and ensure that communication occurs in the desired style and register: for example, a polite message to a colleague or a short, catchy phrase for the description of a social media post.
These are just some of the Galaxy AI features that One UI 6.1 brings to the Galaxy S24, but they are not the only ones. The user interface also offers other improvements in terms of design, fluidity, security and privacy. Furthermore, Samsung has promised that some of the Galaxy AI functions will also be available on previous generation devices, thanks to One UI 6.1.
Which devices will be updated?
But which models will receive this update? And when? Samsung has provided a first list of devices that will be updated to One UI 6.1 in the first phase of the rollout, scheduled for first quarter of 2024. These are the following models:
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
- Galaxy S23+
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy Z Fold5
- Galaxy Z Flip5
- Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
- Galaxy Tab S9+
- Galaxy Tab S9
These are the devices that will be able to enjoy the innovations of One UI 6.1 before the others, but they won’t be the only ones. In fact, if you have another model, don’t despair: Samsung is working to bring One UI 6.1 to older devices too, and we will update you as soon as we have new information. However, he has not yet provided a complete list or one precise timing.
