Last year Samsung presented the first 200MP mobile camera to the world, but without releasing any details regarding its actual availability on the market. Still, some industry insiders expected the new ISOCELL HP1 sensor could arrive on a Xiaomi smartphone just this year. But it was not so. Therefore, we are all still waiting to see this incredible news on a smartphone. The question we ask ourselves, then, is: which company will be the first company to use the Samsung 200 MP camera?
Samsung: The 200MP camera may soon hit the market
In recent days, interesting news on the ISOCELL HP1 200 MP sensor from Samsung have begun to be leaked on the Net. On Weibo and on Twitter, in fact, the photo of the new one appeared Motorola Frontier, the company’s next flagship smartphone. And as you can see for yourself from the image below, the indication appears around the camera module “HP1 OIS f / .2.2”. The photo is clear, then. The 200MP camera could be launched on the market with the new Motorola smartphone. While that doesn’t mean it won’t appear on Samsung’s flagship models as well.
That said, we still don’t expect to see the camera on one of the company’s smartphones by the end of the year. It is much more likely, in fact, that Samsung will decide to use the 200 MP camera in 2023. Although the hypothesis of seeing it on one of the foldable smartphones expected for this year should not be underestimated.
