Samsung created in collaboration with the GWI market research institute a new Trend Radar which aims to investigate theand gaming preferences of Italian users. According to what emerged from the survey, i23.7% of users say they spend more time on gaming compared to before the pandemic. This percentage rises to 33% in the age group between 16 and 24 years.
The results of Samsung’s Trend Radar dedicated to gaming
It should also be noted that 29.5% of the sample of users who participated in the new Samsung Trend Radar declares of play video games 2 to 3 times a week. On the other hand, 27.8% of the male target and 20.5% of the female target play every day. The preferred time to play video games, on the other hand, is in the evening, in particular from 7 pm to 10 pm. To choose this time slot is 25% of users with peaks of 31% in the 25-34 age bracket and 29.8% in the 45- 54 years old.
A private moment
According to data from Samsung’s Trend Radar, 51% of users prefer to play alone while 16% prefer to play online with friends. In addition, other activities are also carried out during the game sessions. 25.8% of respondents love to listen to music while eating and drinking are activities chosen by 23% and 21% of users respectively. Among the gaming products owned, the preference goes to smartphones and tablets (62.2%). In second place the combination of TV (60.9%) and console (47%).
Furthermore, according to 42% of the interviewees, engaging in video games is a form of entertainment, comparable to the choice of watching a movie or a TV series.
