Sifu it has recently shown itself in a small preview, which has allowed the national and international press to try out its playful offer with their own hands. The kung fu game thought up by the boys of sloclap has proven to have a playful formula worthy of the name and which promises hours and hours of fun dealing with a combat system fun and technical at the right point: here is the new information we have on Sifu.
Sifu: here is the new information on the combat system
The first singular thing that immediately catches the eye of Sifu’s approach to gameplay are his roguelike elements, which interface directly with the mechanics of death and rebirth think from the studio. In fact, the protagonist, once defeated, can come back to life thanks to a magical artifact in his possession. Each death, however, costs years of life and the older we are, the less health we will have, however we will also do more damage to our opponents.
We will get older then, but also more lethal. We will not be immortal though, as we attained the 77 years old we will be forced to do it all over again. Always when we die we will be allowed to spend the experience points to unlock new skills or improve those that are already in our arsenal, an element that makes defeat something to look for in some moments of the game.
To complicate matters further, there are certain skills that can only be learned within certain ones range of age, ergo dying too many times at a certain point in the progression could significantly compromise our ascent to the god of martial arts. In short, it is very important to manage death strategically, although it seems strange to say so.
We take this opportunity to remind you at this point that Sifu is expected to arrive next February 8 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
