Qualcomm unveiled its new high-end chip, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3the first SoC designed to optimize generative artificial intelligence directly on smartphones.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3: a revolution coming
Generative AI is a branch of artificial intelligence capable of create content such as text and images. In the past, this technology was only available in the cloud, but now the new chip brings it directly on mobile devices.

- Gaming: Snapdragon Elite Gaming brings real-time Ray Tracing and supports displays with resolutions up to Quad HD+ and refresh rates up to 144 Hz.
- Sound: Qualcomm Sound includes Qualcomm Aqstic Speaker Max technology for clearer sound and support for aptX Lossless and Low Energy Audio codecs.
- Connectivity: The Snapdragon X70 5G modem offers download speeds of up to 5.8 Gbps, with Wi-Fi 7 included.
Availability
The first smartphones with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will arrive as early as March 2024. Several manufacturers have already adopted the chip, including Honor, iQOO, realme, Redmi and Xiaomi.
