Time to polish the shotgun and take aim, because Rebellion has announced the release date of Sniper Elite 5, and it’s very close.
Sniper Elite 5 out for PC and consoles on May 26th
It is close and then finally we could blow up the heads of some Nazis in the new and highly anticipated Sniper Elite 5. The fifth installment of the acclaimed Rebellion title will be available for consoles and PC starting May 26. And that’s not all: it will be included in the Xbox Game Pass catalog from day one! The game will arrive, as well as on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, also on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Epic, Steam and Windows Store. But before discovering its plot and features, let’s dive into World War II with the brand new trailer.
Karl Fairburne returns, it will be up to him to take care of Operation Kraken, a Nazi plot that risks making the Second World War take a decidedly unwanted direction. The sniper will have to use all his skills to foil the plans of the Germans and Obergruppenführer Abelard Möller.
The game also features a online co-op mode up to two players and the brand new Invasion mode. The latter allows players to enter the opposing player’s campaign and take on the role of an Axis sniper with special rewards. Finally the competitive multiplayer will allow up to 16 players to battle online in various game modes.
Pre-ordering players will also have the opportunity to play the latest mission of the “Target Führer” campaign titled “Wolf Moutain”. This will allow players to have fun taking down the Führer himself, in the most creative and imaginative ways. In addition, the pre-order bonus also includes the P.1938 pistol. It is a new prototype weapon supplied to special forces.
