Octopus Energythe energy company that wants to make green energy accessible to all, has launched Solar Cluban innovative project that promotes the birth and development of renewable energy communities (CER).
This is a new form of association that has as its objective promote the use of clean energyresponsible consumption of resources and local sharing of the energy produced.
What is Solar Club by Octopus Energy?
Solar Club aims to anticipate the times and be ready before the publication of the new decree on energy communities. To do this, Octopus Energy has decided to directly support, with its own funds, this first community, financing both the production part (photovoltaic panels) and the incentive part.
This was possible thanks to the investment of Octopus Energy, supported by Octopus Generation, the division of the group that deals with the production of renewable energy and which allowed for faster and more autonomous processes. These characteristics, together with dedication to people, are the distinctive features of Octopus Energy in every innovative project.
The first Solar Club was born in Ascoli Piceno and will be able to supply energy to around 80 homes and a medium-sized company, but the ambition is to expand throughout Italy with a total investment of around 5 million euros.

Joining an Octopus Energy energy community is free
To become part of an Octopus Energy energy community, simply register for free on the official website. Once registered, community members receive an incentive from Octopus every time they consume the energy produced by the solar system near their home (i.e. every time it is sunny).
