Sony officially announced the new 5.1.2 channel Dolby Atmos soundbar distinguished by the code name HT-A5000. The new soundbar aims to bring the thrill of cinema to the living room by leveraging audio technologies such as Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround.

Sony’s new HT-A5000 is equipped with Vertical Surround Engine, technology compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS: X formats. The soundbar was developed to ensure the thrills of the big screen even without being in the cinema. Thanks to technology S-Force PRO Front Surround, in addition, the horizontal field is extended with a further improvement in sound quality.
The soundbar is equipped with a double integrated subwoofer for bass and two speakers facing upwards. Also present two tweeters that project the sound towards the side walls of the room. The support for technology is also worth noting DSEE Extreme in able to upscale compressed digital files in real time using artificial intelligence.
Thanks to Acoustic Center Sync it is possible to connect the new soundbar to Sony TVs in a simple way for a top audio experience.
Availability will not be immediate
Sony’s new HT-A5000 won’t hit the market right away. The soundbar, in fact, is expected on the market starting in 2022. Over the next few weeks, more precise details will arrive regarding the actual release date and the selling price of the product.
