2023 is about to end and, like every year, Spotify allows us to take stock of the 12 months. It has indeed arrived Spotify Wrapped 2023slightly earlier than previous years, which reveals our year of listening with personalized cards and interesting information.
Not only that though, because just like last year Spotify Wrapped also presents us a general picture of global listening trends. So let’s see what they were the most listened to artists, songs, albums and podcasts of 2023 in Italy and around the world.
The most listened to songs and albums of 2023 according to Spotify Wrapped
On the top step of the podium of the most listened to artists in the world, there is her, the queen: Taylor Swift (with over 25 billion streams worldwide). They complete the podium Bad Bunny e The WeekndWhile Drake e Featherweight close the Top 5.
However, the most listened to song of 2023 is that of another woman: Miley Cyruswith over 1 billion streams for its Flowers (contained in the album Endless Summer Vacation which we reviewed here). In second place we find Kill Bill di SZAfollowed by As It Was di Harry Styles. Off the podium too Seven (feat. Latto) (Explicit Ver.) Of Jung Kook e She dances Alone Of Armed Link e Featherweight.
Triumphing in the most listened to albums chart of 2023 on Spotify is instead Bad Bunny con A Summer Without You. Second and third place respectively for Midnights di Taylor Swift and SOS by SZA. They close the Top 5 Star Boy di The Weeknd e TOMORROW WILL BE NICE Of KAROL G.
The most listened to songs, artists and albums in Italy in 2023
There aren’t too many surprises for Italy either: for the third consecutive year he is the most listened to artist Sfera Ebbastafollowed by Oilier (which literally exploded in 2023) and from Lazza (which after dominating 2022 with Sirio took off in 2023 with participation in Sanremo with CENERE). They close the Top 5 Shiva e Gué. The most listened to female artist was instead ANNA.
I Moonlight they confirm themselves as the most listened to Italian artists abroad, far outpacing the MEDUSA (in second place) e Ludovico Einaudi (at the third). Off the podium Gabry Ponte and the eternal Antonio VivaldiWhile Laura Pausini settles for a sixth place.
The most listened to Italian song of 2023 is ASH by Lazza. Also on the podium Gelosa (feat. Shiva, Sfera Ebbasta, Guè) Of Finesse e BLACK GLASS Of AVA, ANNA e Capo Plaza. Fourth place for AS YOU WANT by Geolier and fifth for Quevedo: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52” Of Shaving e Quevedo.
The ranking of the most listened to records sees triumph Oilier con THE COURAGE OF CHILDREN. In second place again SIRIO of Lazza (no small feat given that it was in first place for almost all of 2022 and a good part of 2023). The podium closes The Divine Comedy of Teduafollowed by Milano Demons Shiva e Fake News of the Nuclear Tactical Penguins.
