The American editorial team of IGN has just released a long video of about 18 minutes, in which it is shown God of War in action on Steam Deckthe new home laptop Valve available from today. The video is aimed at showing the performance of the Santa Monica masterpiece on the new hardware of the company, in order to get a more precise idea regarding its technical sector.
Steam Deck shows itself in action with God of War
According to what is seen in the IGN video, Steam Deck manages to run God of War without any problems, except for a few technical hiccups here and there. Specifically, the editorial staff mentions a problem related to synchronization audiowhich in some sequences fails to keep up with what happens on the screen, especially during the first few bars of the adventure.
According to what was shared, it would still be a rather rare problem, but present and therefore worthy of a side note. It is no coincidence that the acquisitions taken by IGN present audio recorded by the Steam Deck speakers, so that it is easier to get an idea of the qualities of the speakers of the new gaming hardware from Valve.
Steam Deck was also put to the test over the weekend by Elden Ring, the new FromSoftware title that is literally depopulating at the moment, and even in this case we found ourselves in front of a gameplay without particular flaws, offering a rather solid experience. In short, good news for all those who were looking with interest at this new found by Valve.
This platform is proposed as a laptop in all respects, and it is certainly positive to see that it is able to run even the most expensive games in terms of resources.
