The Stellar T3 QRD controller for Nintendo Switch is a valid alternative to the JoyCons and original Nintendo pads; Let’s find out in our review
There are plenty of products compatible with Nintendo and the Switch console and it is a market that is explored a lot by brands and third-party companies considering the lack of accessibility, sometimes, of Nintendo products. Furthermore, we have often heard about problems relating to the functioning of the original JoyCons: There have been many cases of drifting that have forced users to switch to cheaper products.

Unboxing – Review controller QRD Stellar T3
Before proceeding with the review of the Stellar T3 QRD controller, let’s metaphorically unbox the package, thus highlighting everything that is present and that is sold together with the controller itself. Therefore, in addition to the pad and the support for the “JoyCon”, inside the box there is a charging cable and some interesting accessories to apply to the pad itself. These are, for example, both concave and convex directional darts and rubber pads to be placed around the analogues; this is to ensure that everyone can personalize their experience of using the device.

Once connected to the console, via the bluetooth search processthe controller in question will be ready for use. We do not hide some difficulties that we encountered during the connectivity phase. It happened that we paired the controller with our console, managed to use it in the Switch menu but then, when we went to start a title, it stopped working. This is probably a small but annoying bug which, after several minutes and attempts, was resolved by dissociating and reassociating the controller with the console.
Once in game, however, the pad did not present any problems. The key mapping is excellent, as is the feedback offered and the ergonomic structure which, in the case of use on the classic Switch (not OLED therefore) turns out to be even more impactful. The curvature of the handle and the width of the latter makes the portable console much more comfortable and pleasant to use. Tested on games of various kinds (FPS, Platform, Action), the controller has always done an excellent job.
The eye wants its part – Stellar T3 QRD controller review
In this section of the QRD Stellar T3 review we are going to deal with a topic which, although it is not always decisive, is nevertheless relevant. We are referring to the aesthetic component. This controller has a very “gamer” style. It’s reminiscent of the Switch’s classic modular pad but delivers a touch of style all its ownthanks also to some finishing touches RGB and a very hi-tech play of colors and shapes.
The positive effect is also created when it is used in portability; manages to give the Nintendo Switch a more impactful appearance, risking, however, do not fully marry with the aesthetic line of the consolemuch “softer” than the controller.
A valid alternative
And so, summing up this one of ours review of the Stellar T3 QRD Controller, what we can say is that, in the vast panorama of alternative products to the Nintendo originals, the QRD Stellar T3 is positioned on a prominent shelf together with other good exponents of the sector. Its aesthetics and excellent ergonomics, mixed with the possibility of customizing your experience with the pad, make it a good product, net of some problems encountered in the initial connectivity phases.
Reflecting on what the price is, however, we can assert that, although it is less expensive (not too much) than an original Nintendo, it is possible to find some good devices at lower prices: The Stellar T3 QRD controller is sold at 54€ approximately, variable depending on promotions and stores, a little above average.
