Prime Matter and Nightdive Studios announce the remake of System Shock
This is for you, dear 90’s video game nostalgics. The acclaimed System Shock is about to return in a remake version, after the success of the first edition in 1994. You will then find yourself on an abandoned space station, and your only purpose will be survive to defeat SHODAN (Sentient Hyper-Optimized Data Access Network). No, we’re not talking about a three-headed alien, but about an evil and highly advanced artificial intelligence, programmed for a single purpose: dinstruct humanity. And guess what? You are part of that humanity!
The new System Shock is in effect a faithful remake of the original 1994 title. Ne it maintains the unmistakable first-person gameplay, but strengthens it with one new HD graphics and new, smoother game controls. Experience also sets out to result more immersive, with a new interface and the remaster of the sound sector. The global publishing and distribution agreement between Prime Matter and Nightdive Studio will bring System Shock on PC and consoles by 2022.

Nightdive Studios worked closely with many of the original System Shock team members. System Shock is already available for pre-order on PC and Linux via Steam, GOG and Epic Game Store. Also a playable demo can be found in the respective stores.
