The CEO of Telegram, Pavel Durovannounced today that theThe messaging app will introduce Stories in early July. Durov said users have been asking for this feature for a long time. And while the company was initially against adding Stories because they were already on other apps, they decided to listen to user feedback.

Stories will be placed in one expandable section at the top of the chats list. Users will have the option to hide stories posted by certain contacts by moving them to the “Hidden” list in the Contacts section instead of the home screen.
With Stories on Telegram, users will be able to choose who can view each of their stories. You can make them visible to everyone, your contacts, a select few contacts, or a list of close friends.
Also, users will be able to add captions and links to their stories, as well as tag other people. It will be possible to simultaneously post photos and videos taken with the front and rear cameras in one stile simile of BeReal. In short: all the news seen on other social networks and messaging apps arrive on Telegram stories.
However, Telegram adds a number of extra checks. You can set a deadline of 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours or view stories permanently on your profile page.
