1. Industry Games – Dungeons of Sundaria
Let’s start our selection with a fantasy adventure that presents the essence of the genre itself quite well. Dungeons of Sundaria is a title released last December 12th, thanks to the work of Industry Games, for all PC players. Not an easy experience, but one that has some interesting ideas to bring to your attention.
The dungeons of this title are the heart of the adventure, unique and filled with hundreds of evil monsters and dozens of evil bosses. These can be addressed with three different difficulty levels: Normal, Hard and Nightmare, as well as offering us the online modedesigned for single player or in cooperative up to 4 players and which allows us to face several ever-changing challenges.
We can too customize our hero, between race, class and aesthetic appearance, each with many weapons to collect and use to increase the power of the character we choose and create powerful equipment. Once the game has started, we can immerse ourselves in the game world, starting the journey by getting to know the first country of many.
It will be an exciting journey full of surprises, where every choice and every battle helps shape your character’s story in the kingdom of Sundaria. There were some technical bugs and graphic imperfections, but everything works well as a whole, to have a good title of its kind and an optimal pastime.
2. Baltoro Games – Pixel Cafe
Developed and published by Baltoro Games, Pixel Cafe it’s a arcade management narrated in the form of visual novel. We lived the story of Pixel between one bar and another, and we tell you how to become the best barman, and much more, in Karstok.
Being in good part visual novel, the narrative has an important part in the title, although the story itself does not stand out for its originality and rhythm. We are Pixel, a girl who lives in the house that once belonged to her grandmother, as explained to us in the intro. Three generations of women: Pixel, her mother and her grandmother. Then an interior monologuewhere Pixel asks himself what he would like to be when he grows up and the “dinosaur” also comes up among the various options.
Are you surprised? Pixel Cafe is actually a title with varied tones and that he doesn’t skimp on humor, even if a melancholy patina reigns. The objective of the title is accompany the protagonist in her life daily, made by increasingly tight working daysbehind the counter of a bar.
This is just the beginning, and as the indie of the month of December we could only choose a decisive title engaging and at times interesting in writing. A visual novel that takes us on a journey to be discovered and that It definitely deserves your attention. Are the graphics also pixel art? That’s right. And it was not surprising, after all.
3. Ic85 – Stealth Blade
To conclude with our selection of indie titles for the month of December, we leave you with Stealth Bladea title released just a few days ago on Steam and which tries to bring us back into the world of the samuraibetween katanas and fights to the death in a Side-scrolling 2D indie.
As anticipated, Stealth Blade is a side-scrolling action game with a dark style, both in graphics and content (but not too much for the latter). The protagonist we play in must overcome numerous tests, avoid traps and instantly kill the devil’s servants to avenge his wife and save his son.
On the road to revenge, we will have to continuously improve our skills, strengthen our attributes to be able to defend ourselves better in battle and collect various objects to kill enemies more effectively. All while making use of our trusty katana to instantly kill all the enemies in front of us.
Also be careful of the deadly traps, any contact results in instant death, to make things a little more complex in a title that in itself is not exactly among the most complicated in history. But in any case, it still remains an agile and fun pastime, optimal for our winter holidays. Are you also ready to get your hands on these new indies for the month of December, to spend a few more moments between consoles and PC?
