One of Lovecraft’s most famous stories is about to become a film, it’s The Call of Cthulhu, directed by James Wan
A new film adaptation is on the way and horror lovers will be delighted. The Call of Cthulhu Of H.P. Lovecraft will in fact have its own film version. The news came like a bolt from the blue from Deadline, which reported the news claiming that the director has been working on the project for a long time. Here’s what we know about it.

Wan has in fact confessed how interested he is in adapting this work, so much so that it is one of those projects he always dreamed of realizing. But what should we expect to see in this new transposition? The Call of Cthulhu has a very long history behind it. It is in fact one of the most famous novels written by HP Lovecraft. Born in the summer of 1926, the story was published for the first time in the magazine Weird Tales, in February 1928. The story, originally composed of three parts, follows the events of Francis Wayland Thurston, an academic who finds some diaries and documents belonging to his late great-uncle, George Gammell Angell. Reading those accounts, man will find himself ad investigate a sect, involved in the veneration of the primordial monster Cthulhu.
Other projects
Call of Cthulhu isn’t the only work announced by Deadline. In fact, other film projects have also been presented, destined to become video games. Among these we cannot fail to mention The Garfield Movie e Memory Lost in Space. Added to these is The Call of Cthulhu, whose announcement of the creation of a video game also revealed the imminent film adaptation. We just have to wait for the release of this new effort by James Wan, in the hope that it will be a new chapter full of suspense and true horror hues.
