In the last few days there has been a attack on the Carabinieri site by the so-called You hacked the Russians by NoName057(16). What is the reason and what exactly is happening?
The pro-Russians have targeted the Carabinieri site: at the moment it is still offline
There were a total of three attacks on the Carabinieri site: the first attack took place on 22 February, the second on 6 March and the third on 11 March.
However, between February 22 and March 6, the geolocking to mitigate the attack. What is it? This is a measure of protection against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks targeting a single country or geographic region.
So geolocking allows you to block access to network resources from certain countries or geographic regions, in order to prevent attackers from using the network resources present in those areas to launch a DDoS attack.
This is because, often, the DDoS attacks they are performed using a network of infected computers located in different countries of the world, which are used to send a large amount of network traffic to a specific target, with the aim of overloading and blocking its processing capacity.
Using geolocking, organizations can prevent computers located in certain countries or geographic regions from accessing their network resources, thereby limiting the scope of DDoS attacks and protecting their network infrastructure from service outages. For this reason, according to the source Red Hot Cyber, the site was offline.

What is the solution to fix the problem?
The solution may be to implement a CDN or cloud solution or a Web Application Firewall (WAF) which allows you to truncate malformed requests to the weapon’s website. But we also know that the Italian bureaucracy of the PA purchasing process, in relation to software and hardware, is slow and quirky.
At the moment, however, it seems that the site of the Carabinieri function normally and on a regular basis.
