Also this year is the time to wear the shirt ofto our favorite team and step into the field of FIFA 22 to tell you the details in ours review. Year after year, chapter after chapter, football on PC or Console has become a ritual. Surely, however, many will be wondering if it is worth buying a new title every time. The FIFA 22’s job is to satisfy the spirits of players who expect news, well aware, however, that we cannot take the revolution. So, pad in hand, we plunged into this next gen that certainly still has a lot to learn, but which, in the end, always gives something. Let’s find out all the details of the new FIFA 22 in our review.
FIFA 22 review: Donnarumma simulation
FIFA 22 has a great certainty: stability. Laughing and joking, the most famous football title almost always remains the same. On the one hand we have a community that wants the revolution, but on the other we cannot expect too much. The change is difficult, especially for a title that, from certain points of view, it has already reached an excellent level. Although, in fact, there are still a lot of things to fix, in general FIFA is well structured, it is fun and detailed. The realism has reached levels that, once upon a time, they weren’t even remotely thinkable.
As for the concrete, however, FIFA 22 does not differ much from the previous one, although there are some differences. There more substantial change in terms of gameplay concerns the goalkeepers: their game is very different. The movement of players on goal changes radically: in one-on-one a ball does not escape, parano them all. While, if you make long-range shots, they find it a bit difficult to reach the goal. At the same timeHowever, there are some occasions where they make exaggerated mistakes, from the real “ducks”, unlike the previous year.
Aside from the goalkeepers side, the gameplay of the title also scales a bit on the rest of the field. The movements of the players undergo some changes they go back to being “more human”. If last year, in fact, more space was given to the show, this year they put their feet back on the ground. What we notice is improved movement physics in general. Both the players lined up on the field and those in motion with the ball stop being machines. We no longer have impressive shots and endless runs, but more moderation which also helps to have a more realistic and balanced game.
A Piemonte Calcio that .. can only accompany
A of the big shortcomings chand we have encountered in the course of ours FIFA 22 review is the one related to licenses. To be honest, not all leagues suffer from this shortcoming, but in our Serie A there are many teams that are missing. Rome, Lazio, Atalanta have practically become other teams, and, the Juventus, now known as Piemonte Calcio is no exception. Unfortunately, in this respect we are definitely disappointed, both for the absent teams, and for the lack of official stadiums. Only San Siro gets its glory and nothing more. Serie B is practically non-existent and this can discourage fans of our football a bit.
For those who, on the other hand, love foreign leagues, then the matter takes a totally different turn. The care placed in the teams across the border is maximum, not only in the players and uniforms, but also in the stadiums. A realism and a detail that we appreciate without batting an eye. The mode Career Coach does not differ too much from the past, keeping the level of detail high. In the wake of FIFA 21, all aspects related to the players become fundamental for a studied, but fun gameplay.
Let’s move on to the workhorse of FIFA 22: Ultimate Team
As per tradition FIFA 22 he couldn’t miss the chance to show hers strength: Ultimate Team. WAS is the mode that has always managed to integrate veteran and novice players, for always exciting challenges. Even this year the substance does not change, although some slight changes have been introduced from the previous chapter.
The one that takes a substantial turn is the qualifying system for the FUT Champions Weekend League. The basics are the same: unpack the packs, find players and create the best squad. The purpose? Win against everyone else. But what exactly changes from the previous year? First of all the number that goes from thirty to twenty, as regards the matches to be played on the weekend. The progression also changes, which, if previously based on wins and losses, now follows a table of different scores.
Do not miss the Player Career
In this FIFA 22 also features the Player Career mode, where we will be able to take the reins of our destiny in hand, directly on the field. The goal is always the same: to emerge as the best player and become the owner of the best team in the league. There Career develops in a simple and intuitive way, giving us a linear progression based on your skills on the pitch.
Unlike in the past, they also come some passive characteristics that allow you to give an extra touch to our work. Finding the specialty more akin to our style of play will give us an advantage on the field useful for our race for the “Golden Ball”.
FIFA 22 review: do we still buy it?
What can I say, the question at the end of the our FIFA 22 review has no simple answer. As usual there will be those who do not understand how it is possible to buy a similar game every year, on the other hand, however, there are millions of users who, instead, are waiting for nothing else. It is true that there are not too many changes, it is true that many licenses are lacking (at least from the Italian point of view), it is true that the goalkeepers go from being Donnarumma to Karius, yet there are still many positives. The gameplay, net of some uncertainties, is renewed and brings a breath of better air even in the reactions of the AI. There is no shortage of contents which, although faithful to the past, do not show uncertainties or yields. Playing is enjoyable and fun and, all in all, there is an air of next gen.
