These days we talk about nothing but Apple’s iPhone 14. Among the many details leaked on the Net, our interest was focused on front camera of the smartphone, which seems to have a rather significant update. As reported by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple has chosen new suppliers for the camera components of the iPhone 14. Let’s go then to find out something more in detail.
iPhone 14: The selfie camera will be optimized compared to previous models.
According to Kuo, Apple has selected new suppliers for the iPhone 14 selfie camera components. As far as we know, some of them are already Apple partners, such as Sony, which will continue to supply sensors for the camera. Goals will be provided by Genius e Larganwhile the new focus module will come from Alps e Luxshare. But as for the front camera specifically, Apple will have as a partner Cowell and – for the first time – the South Korean company LG Innotek. A partnership already anticipated some time ago, when the Cupertino company chose to exclude Chinese-made components due to the mediocre quality.

Also, according to Kuo’s report, the iPhone 14 will represent the biggest update front camera for Apple smartphones of recent years. The analyst in fact predicts that the new camera will be equipped with autofocus, which should result in significantly better quality for capturing photos and videos than the current fixed focus model. In addition, there would be other updates a six-lens lens – an upgrade from the current five-lens one -. And an aperture of f / 1.9, wider than the current one. In short, a series of notable improvements, which will make the selfie camera of the iPhone 14 really performant.
But if the selfie camera improvements will affect all models of the iPhone 14 series, only the Pro models will have some optimization on the rear camera instead. In fact, among the novelties there will be a 48 MP sensor able to turn 8K resolution video. A detail that, however, will not concern Apple’s entry-level smartphones, which will present almost the same photographic equipment as the current models. A series of interesting rumors, which will be confirmed only in the Autumn, when we will finally see the new iPhone arrive on the market.
