Developed with care, by Madruga Worksthe game offers an immersive experience through a combination of dynamic combat and free exploration.
Our review of The Mobius Machine
We find ourselves in the shoes of this friendly astronaut who unfortunately, during one of his expeditions, finds himself falling into a unknown alien world. The objective will be to explore this world within which we will find this abandoned factory. This is where the entire game environment is located.
One of the defining characteristics of The Mobius Machine is its vast open world, interconnected and no loading screens. This allows players to fully immerse themselves in the alien environment, exploring varied settings e discovering secrets hidden in every corner. We find ourselves inside a Old style Metroidvania. The fluidity of the movement allows for a freedom of exploration Without precedents. Offering players the ability to choose their own path through the game world.
The fights are intense and well madewith a wide range of lethal opponents ranging from local fauna at killing machines. The control system has been carefully designed to provide a gaming experience fluid and responsive. This applies to both players who use the gamepad that those who prefer the mouse and keyboard like myself.
The possibility of shoot in all directions adds depth to the combat strategy, while the possibility of equip up to two weapons allows players to adapt to different situations creatively.
The character and the customization of the arsenal
Character progression is effectively managed throughacquisition of equipment that expands the player's movement capabilities and unlock new areas to explore. Additionally, collecting blueprints and crafting weapons and upgrades offers a feeling of constant growth and allow players to customize their play style. To increase the character's arsenal or types of movement will therefore be necessary to defeat enemies. These range from planta monsters or killing machines, once defeated they will give us credits back. These will be spendable in workbench to complete projects and improve our character's arsenal.
Map and game scenario
As for the map, especially in the initial stages I found it very repetitiveand I found it difficult to understand what I had to do. After this part, however, the game allowed me to Unlock new movement modes which made hitherto hidden or forbidden parts accessible. The game environment turns out to be full of scenarios that repeat as progress progresses of this title.
The combat phases all things considered I liked themas in any self-respecting platformer, the difficulty increases as the game progressese as well as the tenacity of the bosses. There are two game modes, that standardwhere the “scrap” in the event of death. These elements are points obtained bykilling monsters the da chests scattered around the map. The second game mode is called Retro. In this, it will not be possible to keep the scrap earned in the event of the character's death, but progress can still be maintained. THE Save points within the map are well placed and allow you to possibly interrupt the game session and not lose the progress made up to that point.
The hardware requirements of this video game
Speaking of requirements, the game it does not require super high-performance hardware. This is because the graphics, although well done, do not have a significant weight in terms of detail. The game itself, It doesn't take up a lot of storage spacelet's talk about one handful of GB of total space. This allows the vast majority of gamers to fully enjoy this title. The version I tested, as can be seen, is the PC versionavailable on Steam. The game, however, is also available on the main gaming consoles.
Final thoughts
The game overall I liked it, even though it's not the kind of game I'm usually used to. I found them interesting character progression dynamicsas well as his movement skills, although in my opinion it would have been better have all the movement functions from the first moments of the game. The Mobius Machine, covered in this review, can be found directly on main video game stores and on the official website of Madruga Works.
