The original game of Angry Birdspublished in 2009 will be removed from Google Play Store on February 23, 2023. Angry Birds, the original game leaves the Play Store after 14 years
These days on our smartphone we can also play the latest AAA games using streaming. But in the early days of smartphones, games were simpler, with some dominating all others. Not because of the stellar graphics or game performance, but because they pass the time with fun game mechanics and increasingly complex levels. Angry Birds was among the most popular, but will soon leave the Play Store.
This news comes from the developer of the game Rovio Entertainment, who explained on Twitter that the game will be removed from the Play Store on Thursday. Instead it will change name to “Red’s First Flight” (The First Flight of Red, the most famous of angry birds) in the Apple App Store pending further review.
The game will remain playable on devices where you have already downloaded it: indeed, this is the last time you can download it from the Play Store. Fans of Rovio Classics: Angry Birds should waste no time and rush to download it. And the same goes for the more curious who have never played it and want to test it.
Rovio has stated that all games derived from this first game will remain on the Play Store: Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Dream Blast, Angry Birds Friends, Angry Birds Journey, Angry Birds Reloaded e Angry Birds Minecraft.
