In this review of MSI’s MPG INFINITE instruments.
But let’s start in order!

Design
The style of the MPG INFINITE X2 is captivating and elegant, in perfect MSI style. The case is totally black except for the RGB lights and the flaming MSI logo on the front. Here we find a series of ventilation grills that give the case a futuristic look and geometric shapes in satin plastic that are really pleasant to look at. Obviously on the front we also find the diamond-shaped power button and a single elegant customizable RGB LED strip.
The most interesting part is definitely the tempered glass side panel which allows us to observe every single detail of the motherboard and all the internal components of the computer. Among these the cooling fans and the CPU also decorated with highly appreciated RGB lights. The internal layout of the computer has been designed to guarantee a Optimal airflow and good heat dissipation. This means your computer will stay cool even during the most intense gaming sessions, preventing overheating and ensuring consistent performance. Also interesting is the upper part of the computer where in addition to finding two USB inputs, a type-c input and two jack inputs for headphones and microphone, we also find a grille to further improve ventilation with a Magnetic Dust Filter removable to prevent dust from entering the PC.
Staying on the subject of ports, in the back of the PC we really find everything needed to connect any port porte USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C e Type-A, one rear USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port 20 Gbps provides extra-fast data transfer speeds, HDMI, Ethernet, a PS/2 port that we haven’t seen since 2000, and much more. Everything you need to do, well, everything.
Last but not least, the80 PLUS Gold 850W power supply offers high power consumption, excellent efficiency!
Technology
The beauty of the case pales in comparison to the possibilities of the MPG INFINITE X2! The 13th generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cardoffer superior performance for the most demanding games. Pre-installed DDR5 RAM offers faster speed and better bandwidth, ensuring smooth gaming and operating experience. For this review we had 16GB of RAM available which can be expanded up to 128GB. DDR5 technology boasts higher bandwidth than DDR4, resulting in even greater performance.
Me too’PCIe Gen4 SSD drives offers significantly higher bandwidth than the previous generation which translates into extremely fast write and load times. L’motherboard interface includes inoltre 4 slot per SSD M.2 2280 (2 x PCIe Gen4 x4, 1 x SATA/PCIe Gen4 x4 Combo, 1 x SATA/PCIe Gen3 x4 Combo)
As regards the cooling system, this model boasts an exceptional wombo combo. In fact we find the Silent Storm Cooling 2 di MSI able to optimize air flow thanks to the double chamber design so as to separate the internal parts to keep the system cooler and quieter. Along with this we also have theMSI LIQUID COOLERa 240mm AIO liquid cooling system that will simply make you forget about temperature issues.
The icing on the cake, theMSI’s MPG INFINITE X2 is the first desktop computer with Wi-Fi 6E in the world. The latest Wi-Fi 6E offers amazing speed performance while keeping the network smooth and stable even when sharing the network with numerous users. We already know which game with hundreds of gigabytes to download we’re thinking about, right?
Our test of MSI’s MPG INFINITE X2
For this review, we tested MSI’s MPG INFINITE X2 for about 3 weeks during which it replaced our gaming laptop for both work and video gaming.
If you have carefully read the features of the PC up to this point, you can already imagine the results of our test. The computer performed excellently in any situation. We have installed the most challenging video games, among Starfield, Cyberpunk 2077 e Red Dead Redemption 2 and in every single game, as well as having blessed us with the maximum setting of the graphics settings, the computer worked excellently without the slightest effort. Doing a short search, At the time of writing this review, there is no video game that MSI’s MPG INFINITE X2 can’t handle.
Added to this is the extreme efficiency of the pre-installed components which eradicate, to our great pleasure, the painful practice of having to build a desktop PC. Each component is well thought out, moves well and fits into the motherboard (the video card also has a support to prevent it from bending… how cute it is!). We have The structure of the case itself was also particularly appreciated, really pleasing to the eye and without being too (pass the term) tacky. For those who are pointing out the RGB lights, know that, in addition to being neither too many nor too few, they can be completely customizable through the MSI Center so you can choose the color that best suits your studio, or turn them off completely.
Considerations of a laptop gamer
As anticipated at the beginning of this review, being gamers with gaming laptops, we feel obliged to dedicate our personal reflection to the two types of equipment to play video games. The person writing this article has not owned a fixed gaming PC for about 8 years, having chosen the versatility and practicality of Latopts which nowadays have little to envy of fixed computers. However, having tested this MPG INFINITE X2 for a long time, we cannot fail to point out some elements of undoubted advantage that we have noticed right away.
Open those doors
The first issue is that of the ports and various inputs for peripherals. This MSI can really support anything. Between webcam, keyboard, mouse, audio speakers, second and third monitors, stream decks, headphones and other items, we have never managed to occupy every single port. If you also have a laptop in your hands, you know how few ports there are in comparison and how much this can be a major impediment.
The helicopter taking off
The second issue concerns noise. If the RGB lights weren’t on, you’d be hard-pressed to tell that the MPG INFINITE X2 is running due to how quiet it is. We’re talking less than 2dB of cooling system noise that doesn’t increase when you boot up the heaviest games. Both by necessity and for logistics, gaming laptops have increasingly efficient cooling systems, but in terms of noise, especially when starting the heaviest applications, the comparison is practically impossible to make
The situation is getting heated
The third question concerns the temperature. Again, modern gaming laptops are becoming more and more efficient in terms of cooling systems but we all know the feeling of the laptop’s heat on our legs or worse on our fingers when we use the keyboard. This problem does not exist with the MPG INFINITE X2. Not only because of the obvious distance from our body but also because the cooling is so effective that you will no longer have to worry about it.
The brief review of MSI’s MPG INFINITE X2
Finally speaking of price, land specifications of the PC we tested for this review translate to around €2500in our opinion,…
