Hot hot news for video game lovers: four games until now reserved for the Microsoft Xbox world they’re about to pop up PlayStation e Nintendo Switch. Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, had given the preview in a podcast, and today we can finally put a name and a date on these games that make the leap to the platform.

Among the upcoming games is Repentancethe title from Obsidian Entertainment, which draws inspiration from medieval manuscripts, is preparing to win the hearts of those who play on PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch on February 22. But it will also come Hi-Fi RUSHaction-rhythm game by Tango Gameworks/Bethesda Softworks, winner of a Game Award for Best Audio Design, which will be ready to let you unleash on PlayStation 5 from 19 March.
It also arrives Grounded, another Obsidian title that strikes again with a cooperative survival adventure. Available on PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch from April 16this game promises to unite Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC players through cross play.
Finally, it also arrives Sea of Thieves: Rare’s pirate adventure, with a community of 35 million players, comes to PlayStation 5 on April 30th. Cross play will be at home, allowing pirates from all platforms to sail the seas together.
From the official press release it is clear that Xbox wants to “reach players wherever they are”, bringing games to more people and on more devices. A demonstration that Microsoft, even in gaming, is increasingly focusing on services and software, rather than on making its console more attractive. Fewer exclusives — but more players playing Xbox games.
