LAS VEGAS – The Freestyle is the new portable projector of Samsung and is undoubtedly one of the most interesting products of the CES 2022. The reasons? Flexibility and style to meet the needs of all consumers and transform any room into a small movie theater.
Samsung The Freestyle: our preview
The Freestyle weighs less than 830 grams, rotates up to 180 ° and self-calibrates, with keystone correction, auto-leveling and autofocus that allow the product to adapt to any surface and angle. So you can project the image on the wall, ceiling, desk or table without wasting time or going crazy to find the right settings.
Great attention also to the audio, with a double passive radiator for clean, deep bass and a 360 ° diffusion that helps viewers to fully enjoy the show.
On the power front, on the other hand, we have compatibility with external batteries that support USB-PD charging and at least 50W / 20 V output, so as to ensure maximum portability.
The software instead replicates the interface of Samsung’s smart TVs, integrates leading streaming services and supports mirroring and casting from mobile devices, both iOS and Android. But that’s not all: The Freestyle is the first portable projector to achieve certification from major OTT (Over the Top Television) partners and the first to include wide-ranging voice control with the ability to interact with voice assistants.
To characterize it we also find an accessory that allows you to connect it at the same attack as the bulbs, so as to facilitate the positioning perpendicular to the table, and the functionality Ambient Mode, that keeps you company with ambient light effects. Finally, The Freestyle also acts as a speaker, combining music with visual effects. And if you want something even more original, well… you can use it to project a window on the wall.
Do you want to grab one already? Pre-orders are currently only open for the American market but in the coming weeks it should also land in our country.
